Cranberries gather for the tour after seven years
Irish rock band The Cranberries will join after seven years of interruption, about a tour of North America and Europe with some new songs and old hits like "Zombie" and "Linger".
In January, the singer Dolores O’Riordan performs with former members of the band in Dublin for the first time since the band from the western city of Limerick was separated in 2003.
They met again at O’Riordan’s new home in Canada at the christening of his son Taylor.
"We never officially disbanded, the band has been hiatus in place, and be in the same room and playing music together for the first time made them realize how much they had lost each other," the website band (http:// www.cranberries.com).
The Cranberries, one of the most successful Irish groups in recent times, was formed in the 1990s. He began his tour in North America toward the end of the year and continue in Europe in early 2010, the website said.
The Irish Times newspaper said the tour will begin in Toronto in mid November.
"We have lost contact with each other," O’Riordan told the newspaper, adding that he was "tickled silly" by the idea of recording a new album with the band again.
"We were always friends, but I would not be turning them off stage. They are real boys boy. What he would talk to them? Breastfeeding?"
