True and love – Brian Ledford Album Review

there are a lot of records out there with ’grower’ written all over – this is one. Over time, you will find all sorts of interesting things.
Brian Ledford Seattle is known for his adventures rocky country, carved in granite and chalk.
Ledford explains his evolution as this. “I’ve always heard nothing and everything, and of course I was immersed in music and traditions of Texas I grew up with. But I never dreamed I could make this record. Something just happened. I turned a corner and these silent earth, songs began leaking. I just went with it. “
Luckily for him, things have gone well. Truth and Love is an excellent beer and sometimes intoxicating rock rough’n’ready (judging from the safe distance) and country tinged ballads (borderline).

For this reviewer, Ledford is at his best in the relaxed ballad slowies Plan as a major gem sound simple, deployment of fabulous heavenly backup. Sensitive country is poor and dusty, with fuzzy guitars phantom, a perfect blend.
